The Angel on the Bridge is an iconic pub. Dating back to 1728, this grade II listed pub is one of the most photographed and painted pubs in England, because of its architecture and the amazing riverside location on the River Thames.
Inside it’s a quintessentially English pub with original beams and fireplace serving freshly cooked food. Outside on the terrace, it’s the perfect place to have a drink, a bite to eat and watch life go by on the river.
There’s a warm welcome waiting for you, no matter what time of year you visit, so pop in when you visit the beautiful Henley On Thames.
If the weather isn’t so great, the next best place is the restaurant with its spectacular river views. Tables on the terrace can’t be reserved and are first come, first served - just find an available table, note your table number, then order and pay in the terrace bar. They’ll sort out the rest!
The Angel has a traditional feel with its beams and fireplace in the bar making it feel very cosy in the winter. There’s also a rather lovely restaurant with a wood burner and beautiful views stretching up the river. All food is cooked fresh to order from the a la carte menu and theirdaily specials menu.
