Following a two-year gap resulting from Covid19, our plans are now taking shape for this year’s Swallowfield Show which will be held in Swallowfield Park on Sunday and Monday, 28th and 29th August.

All of the favourite attractions from previous shows will be there, together with some new entertainers and activities for you to enjoy. Our aim is to bounce back from the disappointments of the last two years to make this the best ever Swallowfield Show!

Our annual event is organised and run by volunteer members and friends of the Swallowfield Horticultural Society. The show is run for the benefit of the community and we aim to provide good quality traditional family entertainment and to raise money for local charities. We rely on the help and goodwill of a large number of local people, who all give whatever time they have available to make the show a success. If you would like to become involved, please contact Graham at

Despite the difficult weather for gardeners we still had a good number of entrants for the 2019 Show.  After not holding the Show for a couple of years we are hoping for a bumper crop of participants at this years Show!

The show boasts a great floral art competition each year so are you green fingered or love to arrange flowers?  If so then why not enter for this years show? Alternatively come along and be amazed at the quality of the displays.

he Craft Marquee remains an absolute favourite among returning visitors.

2019 saw one of our best years ever with an increased number and a wider variety of crafts being demonstrated and goods for sale than in previous years and it proved an interesting place for both young and old to visit.

Wow, this area gets better each year!  The number of complimentary comments about the Food shows we are getting it right! The following is a  listing of exhibitors at the 2019 Show.

There is really something for all ages at the Swallowfield Show and with so much to do, no one can be bored!

Classic vehicle shows saw a bumper surge in attendance during the last half of 2021 (no pun intended!) and the indications are that the 2022 show will be returning bigger and better than ever.

Previously attracting over 120 exhibits on both days, a wide variety of cars, motorcycles, tractors, commercial vehicles and machinery is assured. Anything that is old, unusual or interesting is warmly welcomed. We are happy to accommodate classic vehicle clubs (by prior arrangement) and trade stand enquiries are also welcome.

Not another Dog Show we hear you ask?

Yes it is, but with a difference as this is for the local people and their dogs where everyone has fun, a real FUN & FAMILY Dog Show!

As soon as we have more information to publicise on this event we will do so.
