Summer Holidays 2021 at Beale Park
There are so many exciting event and activities planned this summer at Beale Park – and plenty of new animals and birds who would love to meet you. Beale Park has regular opportunities across the holidays to get closer to their wildlife. Keeper talks take place three times a day every day at the Otters, Meerkats and Lynx. They will also be offering a free drop-in Meet the Bugs (and snakes!) in the Education Centre every Tues and Wed from 1.30-2.30pm. Each Wednesday from 10-12, you can have a go at pond dipping on our lake – just ask at the ticket office.
Children are spoilt for choice when it comes to fun and adventure. In the deer park (near the zebras), they have electric ride-on safari jeeps, courtesy of Wacky Wheelers. All their usual play areas will be open, including their bouncy pillow, paddling pool and sandpit. They have invested in some new shade for these areas so you can stay out the sun and enjoy a picnic or lunch from the Peacock Restaurant.
Safari Splash (14-15 Aug) is an event that celebrates the beautiful Thameside setting. A standard entry ticket allows you access to our usual attractions and the splash pool, which will be sporting themed decorations and inflatables. Or you can add on a trip with Thames Rivercruise for an additional £6.50 per adult and £5 per child. These family-friendly boat trips will leave directly from Beale and take visitors for a short 20-minute cruise, with a guided commentary and a trail for children. Please note that pre-booking is essential here. PureBoating will continue to offer its beautiful four-seater electric boats for hire on our main lake.
