Spotlight on The White Hart | Hampstead
They also brew their own beer. Saviour Ales are brewed on the premises and are just £2.75 a pint when you join their Saviour Pennies club. They are also close to Hampstead park, with some lovely walks.
The White Hart had a chequered history
In 1982, the Gibbings sold the business to Nicola (Nicky) and Dorothy Aromando who had been
successfully running the La Capannina restaurant in Newbury and before that the Capri in Reading. They enjoyed popular acclaim and a wide
following across the nation until they retired in 2004. The Aromandos sold the White Hart business to Kevin and Camilla Reilly with backgrounds in both
catering and pub management. Unfortunately, due to personal reasons the doors closed in 2009.
After a period, during which the fabric of the building deteriorated, it was bought by the current
owner in 2010, extensively re-furbished and re-opened in 2011. It closed in 2015, and then reopened in 2019. Stella Coulthurst is the owner of the 18th century pub.
