The Phoenix Brass Band
The Phoenix Brass is a friendly Band based in the village of Froxfield, Wiltshire, on the Berkshire border. The British Brass Band is a tradition dating back centuries, and groups like Phoenix Brass help to continue that tradition. The Band also provides brass band music for a wide variety of events. David Watson the musical director discusses what the band is about and what they do.
Over November and December, they are busy with Christmas fayre’s, having just played at, Trindledown Farm, Great Shefford, and at Remembrance event. During December they will be playing a Christmas Concert at The Walwyn Hall, Lambourn, at the Burbage Christmas Tree Sale, amongst many venues and then returning in March to Lambourn Vintage Machinery Society and the Royal British Legion in Hungerford

Paul Presents: International Artist Louise Gunnersen
Louise Gunnersen BA Hons, PGCE Colour, form and patterns dance within my soul. Louise Gunnersen is foremost a colourist and an established international painter influenced by her surroundings, travel and constant appreciation of other artists. Louise works in a variety of mediums, subject matters, styles and sizes, and is happy to take commissions. Interested in the beneficial aspects of the unpredictable process of creativity, she experiences that the mind can be taken to a level of wellbeing and personal meditation, becoming absorbed by the stroke of a pure line, intensity of layering oil paint, the twist and turns of design or the power of colour. Sharing with others her enjoyment of the subject, not only in her own art, but also on offer are bespoke art teaching, and celebratory art parties.
Lindsey (Linz) started to train and learn as a florist in 2002, building her business into an accomplished wedding and events florist.Working throughout the year, relying on a combination of imported, as well as locally grown flowers and foliage to fulfil her varied portfolio of weddings and events -always with a desire to create abundant and textually inspired arrangements which more often than not, reflect the season in which they are made.
Linz also teaches and does workshops. Presently, she is doing Christmas Wreath Making Workshops, beautiful wreaths made a range of dry flowers and herbs such as sage, they look amazing, smell amazing and the design and textures are truly stunning.
The Entertainment World with Tony Christian Wimbush.
Tony Christian Wimbush is currently a presenter with Radio Kennet with his Sounds of the Sixties Jazz and Soul Music and Memories. He describes his early days with Radio Luxembourg, to working with Jaeger and hotel chains. Tony has been a presenter, music writer and broadcaster for over 50 years. He is also well known throughout South England as a DJ.
Bronze Sculpting with Diana Pattenden
Diana Pattenden is a sculptor, based in Newbury, Berkshire, UK, creating limited edition pieces and commissions in bronze, resin and ceramics.
Chris Turner runs an afternoon oil painting class in Hampstead Marshall’s village hall. A very popular class and numbers have doubled since Chris took over the class. With a wealth of experience from exhibiting in London to being and art teacher in Newbury, he explains the basic techniques of how to approach oil painting.
