The Acoustic Couch
Covid Measures

With GSMC Live Shows set to return to The Acoustic Couch, Bracknell next week we have been liaising with venue to try and ensure people feel safe when attending. Where possible we will be following Government guidelines, we will have hand sanitizers throughout the venue as well as additional fans and we will look to open doors where possible, we recommend people wear masks although not mandatory and we advise people not to attend if they have been tested positive or have Covid symptoms. But so much of this will be down to the people who attend and performers, so please respect the personal space of individuals, I am sure you will and lets celebrate the return of live music, we really can’t wait to see people again.

Fiery Bird Showcase Sessions Online
Steve Brookes & Billy Liberator | Wednesday 21st July

Our Fiery Bird Showcase Sessions Online continue (behind closed doors) on Wednesday 21st July starting at 7.30pm featuring Steve Brookes and Billy Liberator Steve Brookes started out in the pubs and clubs of Surrey at fourteen and after a long break from performing, he made an album of original songs in 2008 called ‘Thankful’. An album of solo acoustic blues called ‘Down the Line’ followed in 2009, ‘Snakes & Ladders’ came out in 2011 and Paul Jones kindly played a couple of tracks from it on his show on BBC Radio 2. 2014 saw the release of Vintage Troubadour, eleven of Paul’s own songs, a couple were played on BBC radio Berkshire, several digital stations and an FM station in the Netherlands.

Billy Liberator upbeat acoustic tunes in a folkish vein with punk, new wave, and pop influences underpinning everything. Language and metaphor illuminate real life experience with as much melody and hook as three and a half minutes will allow

This series of events are supported by Arts Council England.
