Paul Alexander Low
‘Sunshine after the Rain’
Released 30th July
Americana artist Paul Alexander Low is due to release his debut album ‘Sunshine After The Rain’ on 30th July. The album features popular session musicians Jeremy Stacey (Noel Gallagher, Robbie Williams & Ryan Adams) Rob Brian (Goldfrapp, Simple Minds, Peter Gabriel) and Simon Johnson (Tom Jones, James Morrison, Lana Del Ray). Having seen support across UK radio including the likes of BBC Solent, BBC Radio Tees, Amazing Radio and myriad stations from Canada to Russia to Australia together with solid press coverage in press outlets such as Vents, Lifoti and Americana UK Magazines, Paul Alexander Low is now ready to release his debut album.
‘Sunshine After The Rain’ is the realisation of a life-long dream to release a solo album of his own songs, produced in the way he wanted them to sound. It’s an honest and heart felt expression of music, sometimes fun and uplifting, sometimes deeply emotional and powerful. “I have included those songs that have some special meaning to me or that have struck a real chord with people in the past at live shows” said Low. “I believe this album contains something for everyone, stretching the Americana genre in all directions with soulful, country, blues, folk, pop and rocky elements. I also believe that lyrics are very important and that is a constant theme in my songs. A catchy tune and melody are good but to produce a great song it also needs to have meaning for the listener, so I always focus on that. Now I genuinely can’t wait to get the music out there and see what people have to say”

to release Same Difference Vol 1 EP on July 30th
Ajay Srivastav releases a brand new EP “Same Difference Vol 1: Jah Wobble“ on Scion Records on July 30th, featuring two Jah Wobble remixes and the original versions of The Path and Break The Circle, taken from his critically acclaimed second album “Powerless”, which topped the Amazon and iTunes Blues charts.
Ajay is a singer/songwriter and composer, whose sound flows from the banks of Delta blues and Americana to the sacred rivers of Indian folk, and his work has been majestically remixed by the polymath and virtuoso bassist, who says “Working with Ajay was a breath of fresh air; I think he’s destined for great things”.
“I loved being in the studio with him (Jah Wobble). He’s got an amazing sense of musicality and spirituality. It was easy for me to let go and flow with his vibe.” Ajay Srivastav.
The Path’s poignant sense of optimism will uplift the listener and is a perfect example of Ajay’s unique approach to music, with his soulful blues guitar joined by a string quartet and tabla. While Break the Circle is part protest song and part meditation and sbrings an element of fire into the ethereal sound Ajay is known for.
Ajay is committed to his own vision – his fiery, spiritual and sublime second album, Powerless is perfect for these turbulent times.
To celebrate Powerless and the release of Same Difference Vol 1: Jah Wobble, Ajay continues performing throughout the summer and beyond.
