Their new course has been designed for those interested in animal-based careers such as zoo keeping and other animal science jobs!

This course is suited for 12-15year olds, who wish to gain experience of what it takes to work somewhere like Beale Wildlife Park.

The itinerary for the afternoons involves both theory workshops, as well as practical activities.

The topics include different aspects of animal management and include; animal behaviour, welfare, nutrition, conservation and enclosure design.

Full instructions and support will be given with the practical tasks, there will be small groups of up to ten participants for the course.

A parent of the student may come onto the site to wait free of charge, entry to the park at the time of the activities (2pm).

Places are sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

*Please note that snacks will not be provided, but can be brought along (nut free).

They ask the students to bring water bottles and their own boots (walking boots or wellies).

They will be working with animals, so please wear long trousers and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty!
