Unravel the murderous mystery at Chequer’s Hotel this October!
Courageous war hero Major Luke Twice was killed in battle back in 1943 leaving behind a dedicated group of friends. But when they meet again 10 years after his death to honour his memory, questions start to emerge; was there a more sinister and criminal side to the Major? Are they really gathering here at The Chequers Hotel to honour him or is there more to this than meets the eye? And what has a missing painting got to do with it? Keep your eyes peeled for unexpected guests, a shocking death and ghostly goings-on as you try and unravel the mystery.

BANDSTAND PERFORMANCES | 12TH JUNE – 25TH SEPTEMBER | 3PM – 5PM | VICTORIA PARK, NEWBURY | FREE
Newbury Town Council will be hosting live bands in the famous bandstand in Victoria Park on weekends on a (nearly!) weekly basis throughout June to September. Each event is free to all to attend and takes place from 3pm – 5pm.
Make a day of it with some retail therapy at the local independent and national shops in Newbury, and take advantage of the many attractions, cafes, restaurants, and pubs on offer before settling down to some live music in the park!
