In-person talk: Developing Creative Artworks Using Local Inspiration with Isabel Carmona
Developing Creative Artworks Using Local Inspiration (Wash Common burial mounds).
In 2021, Isabel Carmona received a grant from the Arts Council to develop her creative practice. As we were in the middle of the Covid lockdown when she started, her routine walks led her to various locations that she had not paid attention to before and inspired her to develop her artwork based on her surroundings.
This talk follows the development of Isabel’s work in discovering the richness of information and inspiration so close to home. The talk will also explain the techniques used in creating the prints displayed in her exhibition currently at West Berkshire Museum.
Isabel Carmona is a local artist known for her sketches and watercolour paintings as well as her printmaking abilities. During 2021 she has been developing her collagraph printmaking techniques.
