Clay Characters

Sunday 28 March 2021, 10am to 4pm, £65
This workshop is for adults (18+)

Come and have fun making a clay figure or two with Katherine. Discover how to develop character and suggest a story through facial expression and pose. It’s absorbing, it’s creative and there’s usually lots of laughter.

This is the postponed “festive” character workshop of 2020. You can make your figures to could hang in a tree, hold a candle, sit on a table, hang out in a stable or hold a nice gift for a friend. Spend the day playing with clay. Explore hand modelling techniques and learn ways of adding facial expression and character. They make excellent presents.

Pieces will be taken away for firing and can be collected from City Arts at a later date.

Participant numbers and social distancing

Workshop participant numbers will be capped at 6 people to retain small group numbers.

Please note that we will be observing social distancing whilst trying to make this as normal a workshop as possible.  Bring your own face mask.  Do not attend if you, or members of your household, feel unwell or have CoVid-like symptoms.  In any case we will be following the government guidance for our activities outdoors and if the guidance changes, we’ll be bound to observe it as necessary.
