When Are Our Pubs Reopening?

Pubs Reopening Around West Berkshire – dates given below….

Restaurants and pubs will be allowed to serve customers outdoors from 12 April – but customers must order, eat and drink while seated at a table.

However, restrictions have changed since pubs were last open, and people won’t need to order a substantial meal with alcoholic drinks – and there’ll be no 22:00 curfew.

Customers must also follow either the rule of six, or be in a group of any size as long as there are no more than two households present.

When people are not seated – for example, when they’re being shown to a table or going to the toilet – customers must wear face masks, follow one-way systems and observe social distancing.

Also below is a glimpse of the food and a spotlight on the Queens Arms, East Garston- following it’s recent refurbishment. …….
Spotlight on The Queen’s Arms, East Garston

The Queens has had a major refurb of the bar, restaurant, covered area and garden. They have also created a new smoking area plus outside seating for the car park rooms. They have also transformed the Lodge – now a stunning venue for any private parties or business events. They have also changed their menus – bar food is available all day and they  have a sensational restaurant menu.

The Restaurant

“The Food is second to none – so delicious, fresh and tasty….will definitely be back”

On arrival at The Queens Arms you will discover a large friendly bar with log fire that leads into our dining room, capable of seating intimate tables of 2 to a large party of 40. Leading out through the French doors are the covered terrace, a south facing patio and a large enclosed garden – all ideal for alfresco dining. Children and dogs welcome.

Dinner

Served from 6.30pm with last orders at 9pm but can be flexible with advanced warning. An extensive menu that is varied and seasonal and where possible, uses local produce.  Being Fish Friday, the evenings are always popular so please remember to book ahead. The kitchen is closed on Sunday evenings but can be open with advanced warning.

Breakfast

Served in the bar from 7.30 although if required earlier, not a problem. Choose from a selection of continental pastries, fresh fruit and organic cereals. Create your own cooked breakfast or enjoy the traditional Queens English breakfast. All served with tea/coffee and a choice of fresh juices.

Your Lodge is just the perfect venue and your service was second to none – not surprisingly our guests loved our party. Thank you! Alice Walker

The Queens Lodge

The Queens Lodge features a beautiful, large room with a high oak beamed ceiling, permanent bar and a glorious open fire. The adjoining south facing gardens and patio area are private, secluded and enclosed with plenty of space to erect marquees. The Lodge is located directly opposite The Queens Arms with ample parking and use of all the 12 en-suite rooms.

The MOST comfortable bed EVER!!! Dani, Bookings.com

The Queens Arms features 12 bespoke bedrooms, all of which have been thoughtfully and individually designed in a traditional country inn style with added contemporary touches: seriously comfortable beds with crisp bed linen, feather pillows and duvets, flat screen TVs, hairdryers, telephones, super-fast broadband and organic REN toiletries.

All rates are based on a per room, per night basis inclusive of VAT and choice of continental or full English breakfast.
