Spotlight on The Dew Pond, Old Burghclere

The Dew Pond is located in the hamlet of Old Burghclere, just off the A34 between Newbury & Winchester. The Dew Pond was originally a pair of 16th century cottages and still retains the original oak beams with a log burning fire and fine views to Watership Down, Highclere Castle (Downton Abbey!) and Pond from which they take our name.

The restaurant can seat up to 45 diners, and is also available for private dining with exclusive use of the restaurant both lunch and dinner subject to availability. They have created a selection of set menus suitable for these occasions, which can be matched with recommended wines if required – note these menus are only available for parties in excess of 12 people.

They hold wine dinners periodically throughout the year which give the opportunity to try a tasting menu together with matching wines at each course, details are available on this website or just give them a call.

There is no dress code although most guests prefer smart casual.
